The Police Force in Berlin awarded a 10-year service contract for the 20,000 deployed police radios at the German federal state of Berlin to Motorola Solutions.

Motorola Solutions will provide technical support, repair and management services as well as software updates for the deployed TETRA radios used by the police organizations in the German capital of Berlin. In addition, Motorola Solutions’ Integrated Terminal Management (iTM) enables the automation of tasks such as fleetmap changes and software upgrades and makes it more efficient to audit radio assets and implement software version control.

“This service contract is a milestone in our longstanding partnership with the German public-safety authorities and organizations and in particular with the police forces in the German capital of Berlin,” said Axel Kukuk, country manager, Germany at Motorola Solutions. “With our sophisticated managed and support service offerings, we ensure that mission-critical TETRA communications operate without interruptions so that the first responders stay connected and can focus on their mission when seconds count.”
