Indonesia Masters 2019, the largest professional golf tournament eight years in a row in Indonesia, was held 12 – 15 December at the Royale Jakarta Golf Club in Jakarta.

Hytera provided professional communications solutions to ensure the smooth operation of the event. This is the third consecutive year Hytera has supported Indonesia Masters as the official communications partner.

Indonesia Masters is the flagship tournament in the Asian Tour, the third-largest professional golf tour in the world. Jazz Janewattananond from Thailand won the championship.

The club facilities included locker rooms, sauna, spa massage area, VIP rooms, a 300-meter practice range with 24 lanes, a short game area and a gallery of shops. Hytera’s radio networks provided multiple stable channel frequencies across the whole golf course, within the facility buildings and other areas.

To ensure success of the game, a vast number of working teams had to be established. An advanced digital radio communications network consisting of repeaters, mobile radios and 100 handheld radios were set up and tested prior to the event to make sure staff from different positions in the facility buildings and on the golf course can communicate with each other clearly and fluently through different channels. The network also supports messaging and work order management.

“Overall, all the digital radios were in good working condition, all the channels frequencies were also working fine,” said Mr. Evan, chief engineer from organizer OB Golf. “We didn’t receive any major complaints regarding any radio delay from the scoring team. It is also very helpful of Hytera to provide the channel frequency label on every digital radio. Really appreciate the help.”
