Santa Clara County Selects Datamark for GIS for NG 9-1-1 System

California’s Santa Clara County selected Datamark to lead its regional efforts in address management and provide accurate and complete geographic information system (GIS) data for next-generation 9-1-1 (NG 9-1-1). Santa Clara County is the third county in California to award Datamark a government contract for a GIS-based address management system.

For the Silicon Valley project, the nearly $200,000 scope of work includes deploying Datamark’s software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform for maintaining accurate regional GIS data in a master address database for use in public-safety systems, as well as functionality for interdepartmental and cross-jurisdictional use. The implementation is underway.

Santa Clara County abuts San Mateo and Merced counties, both of which also commissioned Datamark to ease the transition to NG 9-1-1.
