C-AT Radio Interface Offers Interoperability with Iridium Devices
Monday, May 18, 2020 | Comments

Communications-Applied Technology (C-AT) successfully tested its Incident Commanders’ Radio Interface (ICRI) for interoperability with the Iridium DTCS-RO radio. The ICRI successfully tested connectivity with the Iridium 9505/9555/9575 PTT/DTCS-RO and Icom IC-SAT100 devices.

The ICRI interconnects an LMR radio with an Iridium satellite phone, enabling users to talk over the satellite network using their pre-existing radios. The ICRI is a small, lightweight and battery-powered device, enabling it to be used in adverse conditions without pre-existing infrastructure.
