FCC Extends Deadlines in Some Areas Impacted by Hurricane Ida
Tuesday, September 07, 2021 | Comments

The FCC’s Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau (PSHSB) extended some deadlines occurring from August 29 to September 30 for licensees and applicants in areas affected by Hurricane Ida.

The extended deadlines apply to areas in Louisiana and Mississippi that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has designated as eligible for individual or public assistance federal disaster relief.

For licensees in those areas, the FCC extended deadlines from August 29 to September 30 until October 1 for wireless radio service applications, notifications and reports, including minor license modifications, license renewals and notifications of construction. That extension also extends to all construction deadlines and other regulatory deadlines.
