The FCC agreed to allow Sprint to deploy its 800 MHz wideband operations in certain portions of the San Antonio National Public Safety Planning Advisory Committee (NPSPAC) region 53 before 800 MHz band reconfiguration has been completed in that region. Granting the request will permit Long Term Evolution (LTE) deployment in a total of 39 counties — including 30 counties where the FCC has granted similar waiver relief — in addition to nine counties where Sprint has yet to deploy LTE.
