The FCC granted in part a request by the Enterprise Wireless Alliance (EWA) to delay the requirement that site-based and mobile-only wireless systems complete construction of facilities in response to the disruption of work caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The FCC provided all site-based and mobile-only wireless licensees with construction deadlines from March 15 through and including May 15, an additional 60 days to meet their existing deadlines.

AMSA cited the increased accuracy of GPS and the introduction of other global positioning constellations including GLONASS, GALILEO and Beidou as being reasons why AMSA’s DGPS service is no longer needed.
