Comtech Telecommunications acquired the state and local government next-generation 9-1-1 (NG 9-1-1) business from General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) and immediately hired about 60 GDIT employees. Comtech also announced that during its third quarter of fiscal 2019, it was awarded a five-year contract valued at more than $100 million to develop, implement and operate a Comtech NG 9-1-1 system for a Northeastern state.
