ReadyOp Offers Communications Coordination Tools Following Hurricane Michael
Thursday, November 08, 2018 | Comments

ReadyOp Communications, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cleartronic, played an important role for its clients during the Hurricane Michael response and recovery efforts. Multiple federal, state and local agencies used ReadyOp to prepare for and then respond during and after the hurricane passage.

Emergency response teams were formed in unaffected areas of Florida and other states and then deployed to the Florida region damaged by Hurricane Michael. Multiple agencies from many different states used ReadyOp’s communications and coordination platform to request, deploy and then coordinate the teams and other deployed groups.

The system was used to send emails and texts and for conference calls for radio communications. Agencies created and used forms within ReadyOp for daily status reporting, asset requests, incident reports, situation reports, mapping and other activities. One form, created and posted for requests for assistance, was used more than 5,500 times by members of the public to request support in locating missing individuals and for requesting emergency medical assistance.

Even though Hurricane Michael hit the Florida coast almost a month ago, recovery operations continue, and the agencies involved continue to use the technology in their daily activities, communications and coordination between agencies and locations.

ReadyOp runs in our county from the sheriff's office to clerk recorder to Department of Health to emergency operations center (EOC) to coroner's office to many school districts. We have used ReadyOp for five years and its use expands every year. We love the regional fusion ReadyOp provides.

ReadyOp is an amazing platform that is helping the Monroe County (Florida) Sheriff's Office (MCSO) improve communications capacity and helping manage data for a new behavioral threat assessment team. It is flexible, comprehensive and responsive to custom needs. Highly recommend.
